Health Services

Active Duty

Army Health Clinic SOUTHCOM provides primary care to Active Duty Servicemembers. Treatment for acute minor illness, preventive and wellness care, routine care for chronic illness, and referrals are provided.

Active duty care includes ‘medical readiness.’ Managing Individual Medical Readiness is every Servicemember's Duty.  The minimum Individual Medical Readiness Requirements must be met for a Servicemember to be considered deployable and retainable.

The three “must do” medical readiness services:
  • Annual DoD PHA
  • Annual Dental Exam
  • Dental Class 3 Treatment for Deployability
